This past weekend, I decided to make the daunting switch from Blogger to a website powered by WordPress. I have set up a redirect from my old blog, suzyguese.blogspot.com. After this week, suzyguese.blogspot.com will meet the delete button.
I started thinking about this website move. What always amazes me is that travel is so much a part of this process. I travel from one corner of the web to another, hoping my readers will find me at my new place in cyberspace. (Sorry for the rhyme. I couldn’t resist). Much like travel, you need help moving from one place to another, whether they are travel agents, airplanes, guidebooks, or travel websites helping facilitate that trip. Luckily my little brother is a tech genius or I’m not sure I would be writing this today. I guess I could compare him to my travel agent, spending countless hours being patient with my silly website travel requests of changing link colors from blue to red.
Suzyguese.com is still building. The formatting is not completely finished and I still have countless hours ahead of me of reading through the latest plugins to add to my new site. You will notice with time, sections will change and additions will be made. Please let me know your thoughts about the new site by leaving a comment.
As part of a thank you to readers for bearing with this change, I thought I would share a travel photo at the top of this post. I could only think of one picture that sums up my move from one site to another, much like how a bridge functions. Bridges across the world carry travelers from one place to another. Please enjoy a night photo of one of the most famous bridges in the world, the Ponte Vecchio in Florence, Italy, taken by my friend and photographer Matthew McCall. Thank you for traveling with me to my new site. I hope suzyguese.com will make your travel experience easier, while providing advice and stories to pack on your next physical or mental vacation.
